MPLA wins Stevie Award

The Microsoft MPLA project has received a ‘Stevie’ award! This is one of North America’s most prestigious Marketing awards. Solarweb’s input to the project has been praised as part of the cross-functional team by Microsoft. Microsoft has announced that it has received a 2006 American Business Award for Best Marketing Team. The Stevie Award was presented at the Fourth Annual Stevie Awards gala on June 12 in New York City.
Microsoft’s Corporate Marketing & Research Insight Group (CMRI) was recognized in the category of Team Awards for its work in analyzing and delivering data that inspires action and has a real impact on product development. Specifically, the CMRI conducted extensive customer satisfaction research on the subject of Microsoft Licensing, and as a result recognized the need to provide additional help to customers make licensing decisions. The licensing team in turn built and released the Microsoft Product Licensing Advisor (MPLA), a wizard-driven tool that provides advices to help customers better understand product, licensing and pricing options. It also integrates with phone support to further assist with difficult scenarios and questions.
