Charity

The charity sector distributes many grants and funds on behalf of government and non-government institutions. Typically these are managed using an adhoc array of internal platforms and databases which do not allow for standardization across the different funds nor do they allow for any integration with other applications.

fundingpoint

fundingpoint brandingfundingpoint is a powerful case management database that supports grant making organisations across multiple funding or grant stream programmes. It allows easy storage and retrieval of project information throughout the lifecycle of the funding scheme.

Applicants, assessors, and programme staff can all have access to the information online allowing the data to be used wherever it is required. You can also define and apply your own organisational rules to all procedures and payments guaranteeing compliance at all stages of the grant making process from online applications through assessment and decision procedures to final evaluation and monitoring. Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT)

The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) is a registered charity that promotes conservation as well as managing environmental funds. The RSWT Grants Unit manages several funds, administering more than £20 million a year in grants to support local, regional and national environmental projects.

RSWT sought a new user friendly fund management system giving the ability to manage multiple funds using a common platform. This would facilitate process streamlining and automation leading to considerable savings in time and administration cost, for example with improved management reporting and task tracking.

Building on our experience with a similar fund management application at BTCV, we developed a new system to address these common needs. This has already generated a lot of interest in the charity sector where a low cost, easy to use management tool is long overdue.

BTCV (formerly British Trust for Conservation Volunteers)

BTCV managed the Peoples Places Awards using an in-house database which suffered regular problems as the number of users and amount of data grew. Solarweb was chosen to analyse and fix the numerous problems.

Further to this, we then developed additional functionality such as eligibility progress and quarterly management reports. All reports could be exported to raw Excel for financial manipulation or ready formatted for presentation purposes.
